If God led you to it He will lead you through it

I would like to say a word about a few. supposedly Christian based platitudes that are constantly going around on Facebook. They go like this: "If God led you to it He will lead you through it" or "If God closes the door He will open a window." These imply that if you believe in God that He will clear the path before you and make easy your way.

This is not what the Bible tells us about how it will be for those who accept Christ as their Lord, consider all the ones who were martyred by the Romans, fed to the lions and crucified. You think that thing have changed in these latter days? Did not Jesus say in John 15 "18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you. 19 If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. 20 Remember the word that I said unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my saying, they will keep yours also. 21 But all these things will they do unto you for my name's sake, because they know not him that sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke [1] for their sin. 23 He that hateth me hateth my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause."?

Matthew 24:9-10 ...'Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.'

Are American Christian more holey to God than these, "A Christian man has been sentenced to death for blasphemy in Pakistan, according to his lawyer, following an incident last year that prompted a Muslim mob to torch hundreds of homes.", "Central African Republic peacekeepers call Christians 'enemy combatants'", "Rebel Hell: Libyan Islamists Torture 48 Christians Detained In Benghazi, Use Acid To Burn Off Tattoos Of The Cross".

The above are just a few of the many, many example of Christians being persecuted for their faith, and they are the reason I always post a like to one of these atrocities when I come across one of the those, "It is good and safe to be a Christian posts". If people come to believe that their faith will be sorely tested if and when God puts the same burden on Americans as He has on Christian world wide.
